Nobody Expected There Would Be Much Discussion About It

Artist: Ott Metusala

A conversation between a grandson and his grandmother about her years of work at Experimental Plant Estoplast, the leading producer of light fixtures and switches situated in Tallinn.  Renowned for combining plastic and metal elements. Over the years, the most noticeable products from Estoplast - the lamps - appeared in almost every Estonian household.
Ott says: 'Realising how little I knew about her practise as a designer and how much her former practise as a designer and my current occupation actually have in common was the starting point for making this publication.'

The book is beautifully made and a object of beauty in itself.
